State tax refunds safe in Georgia-Carolina, but not some other states
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Here's some great news: if you live in Georgia or South Carolina, your tax refund is safe.
Several states, including North Carolina and Alabama are not sending refunds until the money is available.
According to the South Carolina Department of Revenue, the state has sent out more than 800,000 refunds as of Friday.
The average refund in South Carolina is about $785.
