How does Senator Winfrey sound?

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich says he considered appointing Oprah Winfrey to the empty U.S. Senate seat left vacant by President Barack Obama.

He tells "Good Morning America'' that the idea of nominating the talk show host came to him as he explored potential candidates for the job that federal prosecutors allege he tried to sell to the highest bidder.

The Illinois state senate will begin an impeachment trial, but Blogojevich will not be there.
