First Citizens Bank in Beech Island robbed
BEECH ISLAND, S.C. - NBC Augusta 26 News was first on the scene of a bank robbery that happened around 10:45 this morning at First Citizens Bank on Atomic Road in Beech Island.
Two men, both armed with handguns, walked into the bank and demanded money. They also took a BlackBerry from a customer. The men got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Bloodhounds were called out to the scene to help in the search.
This is the same bank that was severely damaged by a tornado back in April. The bank now operates out of a temporary facility on the site. The same bank was also robbed back on July 1.
